What is Engagement Score?
The Engagement Score is a dynamic metric used to evaluate user interactions across various channels and actions. It helps businesses assess user activity levels, identify high-value users, and optimize engagement strategies.
Points are assigned to users based on predefined weights for specific actions, and these scores can be leveraged for targeted campaigns and analytics.
Key Components of the Engagement Score System
- Score Calculation Engine
An algorithm or rule-based system assigns points to users for specific actions, such as website visits, email opens, form submissions, purchases, and product reviews.
The weights for these actions (e.g., 3 points for a website visit, 10 points for an email open) are configurable in Hood > Settings > Engagement Score.
Engagement Score Settings Example
- Reporting and Analysis
Dashboards and reports visualize engagement scores over time, trends, and patterns. Businesses can analyze the data to identify high-value users or users at risk of churn.
Actionable Insight
Engagement scores are used to create:
- Targeted Campaigns: Tailor offers to high or low-engagement users.
- Loyalty Programs: Reward highly engaged users.
- Content Optimization: Focus on content that drives engagement.
- Examples of Events Captured:
Default Values assigned to each new workspace by default Website Visit: 3 points per visit. Email Open: 10 points per open. Email Click: 20 points per click. SMS Click: 20 points per click. Web Push Click: 20 points per click. Form Submission: 50 points per submission. Purchase: 100 points per purchase. Product Review: 30 points per review.
