Shopify Push notifications

Learn how to install and configure the HoodEngage app for Shopify to enable push notifications on your Shopify store.

Step 1: Install the HoodEngage app

• Go to your Shopify store.
• Search for “HoodEngage - WebPush” in the search bar.
• Click Install and follow the authorization steps to complete the installation.

Step 2: Configure plugin settings

• After installation, open the HoodEngage app from your Shopify admin dashboard (sidebar).

• Go back to HoodEngage app > Site setup or Configuration hub (Configuration). Open the web configuration, and click Copy code key.

• Go back to Shopify admin dashboard, and paste your code in the provided input box.

• Click Save to apply the configuration.

Step 3: Activate app embeds

• In your Shopify admin sidebar, go to Online store > Themes.
• Click Customize on your active theme.

• Navigate to app embeds.
• Toggle Cart abandonment, HoodEngage to enabled.

• Click Save in the top right corner to apply the changes.

Your Shopify store is now configured to send push notifications to your customers through the HoodEngage WebPush integration.
