WordPress Push notifications

Learn how to install and configure the HoodEngage plugin for WordPress to enable push notifications on your WordPress website.

Step 1: Navigate to WordPress dashboard

• Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
• Add New Plugin: Go to Plugins > Add New.
• Search for Ocamba Hood: In the search bar, type “Ocamba Hood” and press enter.

Install and Activate:

• Click Install Now next to the Ocamba Hood plugin.
• Once installed, click Activate.

Step 2: Copy Code key

• Access HoodEngage, and navigate to Site setup or Configuration hub > Configurations, depending on your plan.
• To add a new web configuration, check out our Web SDK instructions guide.
• To open an existing configuration, click on it.
• To copy Code key, click on the button Copy code key in the top right corner.

Step 4: Configure the Plugin in WordPress

• Return to your WordPress admin dashboard.
• Navigate to Dashboard > Ocamba.
• Paste the Code Key you copied earlier into the designated field under Code Key.

Step 5: Activate the Plugin

• Toggle the Activate/Deactivate switch to Activate.
• Click Save Changes to apply the configuration.
